I think everybody is talking about this. But well hey let's be part of this as well.
For the first time I wish I'd be in school, because then I would have real things to do...but my days are fully plank. Some of you might say, that oh you are so lucky...But heey noup, for a week it sounded fun now I am really ready to live my life. And now I'm on my fourth week at home and here are just a few things to do:
*Make yourself a routine
For some of you it seems like a horror...and I know few of my friends really hate routines, but really...you should work out a routine that really works for you. My life isn't the same day to day. But the most important things are there...for example, I want to work out, I want to eat breakfast, and lunch/dinner, I want to get outside (I have my own garden), and I have a evening chill down part...but you can adjust is as you want it. Make it as healthy (talking about your brain) and productive as you need. I for example have to work out, because it gives me better sleep and makes me feel like I did something useful...
*Redecorate
Change your room up. Move your bed maybe, your table? Colour I don't know your closet. Or make a new place to hold your brushes. Make up new ways to decorate your room, with things you have at home..it's perfect time for those DIY things you have always wanted to do!
*Watch your favourite movies/tv shows
As first it seemed like such a great idea! And then week into it and I was so done...But then I took some time off it and found other things to do and now I am slow key back into it..But well I just love watching movies overall before sleep so...Movie night are my thing! I light candles, turn on some fairy lights (You should definitely make yourself a movie spot) and make myself some tea or cocktail. And of course popcorn! I am such a sucker for it! So they are a great way to spend your day...few movies and the day is over :d I just recently asked my friends some TV-show recommendations, to get binging again.
Few recommendations as well:
*watched
*really recommend
Movies:
** I still believe
*Banana split
**Oward
*The call of the wild
*Dolittle
**Bad boys for life
*The WHOLE Twilight saga (don't judge, I was bored okay? For old times sake okay?)
*Hooking up
*The invisible man
**Just mercy
**Spenser confidential
Tv shows:
**The society
*The bold type
*Try online classes
There are so many of those right now. For literally everything. For example I've been taking english classes...because there is always way to improve! And literally in any way...I've been doing some pilates as well..so give it a try!
*Work out/be active or try something new
I know everybody talks about it. That you should work out and right now is the perfect time for it and blah, blah, blah. But what I mean is just move your body. If you can go for a walk. If you want work out...if not now, then when? hahah. But also you can clean your house. If you have garden then there is always usually something that can be done. Or I don't know walk around your house or whatever. Stretch. Or try some yoga videos (There are so many online!!), it can be amazing what it does to your body and your brain. Try pilates (There are free classes and also videos online). Right now can be the perfect time to try few things that you've been too busy before.
*Write
You might think that now everybody likes to write Kelly (probably nobody thinks that). But I mean it...make your to-do lists. Write your goals for the next year, or even years! Make notes of your feelings. Start a diary. Or maybe you have always wanted to write a book...now is a great time for that. I have been thinking for a long time that maybe I should just open a document and start writing whatever comes to my mind.
*Cook
Probably full time mums really hate that part of the day, where you have to cook. But let everybody in your family cook, teach people how to cook. Try different recipes, improvise. And try to enjoy it more than you usually do. Make up new recipes..who knows maybe one day you might invent a brilliant recipe! Or bake, make a cake you have always wanted! Okay I don't really recommend making 3 layer chocolate cake when you are alone, because well you might eat it all but then again life is there to enjoy! I bake cookies for smaller batches and still enjoy the process. For me food making always makes me happy but I don't want to for example eat so many baked goods...so I just make few but make it my way!
*Read
We always, and yes me as well of course. Look for excuses why we don't have time to read or why we are busy...but guys I guess not it's no excuses hahah. Literally if you are bored...pick up a book and just read. I am about to finish my second book!
*Puzzles, board/card games
It's such a perfect time. I have solved like way to many puzzles....I have also played board games with my family. And I mean it's such a great way to spend time...Also doing them takes you away from your phone and screens which is amazing right now, because we probably all watch screens way to much. And it really takes you away to another world, also brain food. So :p
*Call your friends, make video calls
Right now is hard to see your friends, but it's the perfect and the right time to ask your friends how are they actually doing. Specially when there is a lot pressure going on so it would be the right time. And what would be better way to spend your time? Having video calls, talking about everything what's going on and just to feel close and to be there with each other.
*Have a deep clean
About everything in your life. Clean your house. Clan your room, under your bed, under cupboards, shelves. Clean your bags, shoes, clothes, jewellery, bottles, skincare, make up. Literally everything! Try to get rid of some habits that you don't like. If you don't like some friends or people you have in your life...remove them or let them know that this journey ends here. Clean your inbox, unsubscribe mailing lists...everythingggg!
*Make yourself a playlist/discover some new ones
Zoe shared one 30 day music one...And I decided to follow along and do it, at the end of this I have a new playlist to listen to. Because I am the one who always listens my liked songs on spotify. So now you should maybe really look for new ones, and maybe find a new favourite! Or just literally make up a new one...for work out, happy, sad, adventure or so ever!
Also it's a great way to find new podcasts to listen to...I really love listening to those, when I am walking or running, or doing some every day things. Found my new favourite for example...and it's from an Estonian comedian and I just can't stop laughing...amazing.
*Do little challenges
Just for yourself. I mean they can be so simple. It might just to cook a meal...do a push up challenge...or challenge yourself with a puzzle. You can google different one...like maybe to post one picture a day to instagram, write every day something, declutter, cooking, clothing...Or maybe some even stupid things. For example you want to throw teabag into the cup.. Like just have fun.
*Experiment
I am not saying colour your hair because don't...Okay I am maybe saying that because I am trying to have my blonde really there. But in every way in life...experiment with everything right now, because there is not much to loose. Do your make up differently (because girl you can look really nice at home too and that's totally normal!Try cooking different things (kinda already said it), try editing videos/photos, make your first youtube video, tiktok whatever your heart desires.
*Just live
Don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you are tired, just sleep. If you don't want to do basic things, just don't. Let yourself relax and do things the way you want to. Try not to put too many pressure on yourself, it is hard time anyway. So keep up your pampering sessions, do things that make you happy, eat what you want to eat. Enjoy little things...make yourself some G&T and enjoy it. The simplest things. You do you. Just don't take yourself down and try to find as many happy things in your day as you possibly can! And don't try to be somebody else. I really hate those quotes that say you kinda have to come out of this with a new skill. No you don't! You don't have to eat healthy, you don't have to do anything...you just have to live and stay calm. If you are sad, you can write your friends, family or even me :)
